Lynne Givens was a metastatic breast cancer patient that embraced the mission of Twisted Pink during her diagnosis and treatment for metastatic breast cancer. Lynne was a biology teacher and volleyball coach at Green County High School and inspired others to stay physically fit through walking or running. Lynne gained her wings on November 1, 2017 and the first 5K was held in 2018 in her memory. Her community in Greensburg, KY continues to honor her legacy with the annual Sunset 5K along with Pink Out Volleyball events each year.
Twisted Pink was honored to receive our first corporate support from the employee's at ARGI Financial Group, who hosted a Halloween Costume Party & Chili Cook-Off. The employee's donated over $1000 to Twisted Pink, which helps us fund more research to metastatic breast cancer.
Exercise is healthy for you and Twisted Pink was excited to promote this healthy habit as we joined the owners of B.You Fitness for an out door Barr Class on the river.
Twisted Pink would like to thank Oxmoor Center for hosting the Paint By Numbers Mural in support of our mission to fund metastatic breast cancer research. This was a wonderful way for the community to come out and participate in creating this art piece while learning about stage IV breast cancer and donating to our mission.
Twisted Pink loves events that are already successful and we partner with you to bring more awareness and research dollars to stage IV breast cancer research. In 2015, we were the charity beneficiary of Pink Prom, an annual party hosted each October in Louisville, KY.
Paula Miller is a local metastatic breast cancer patient who believes "If They Can Treat It, I Can Beat It". She started the Beat It Music Festival in September 2018 and plans to continue this event annually to support the mission of Twisted Pink!
