A free family family-friendly outdoor festival event created 11 years ago by Captain's Quarters to raise money for metastatic breast cancer research. This event features 3 Trebuchets (catapults) launching 6-12 lb pumpkins 100+ yards into the Ohio River. Each pumpkin is "sponsored" by a spectator via a donation, and if their pumpkin hits a floating target, they are rewarded with a gift certificate from a supporting local restaurant. Over the past 10 years, this event has provided over $125,000 in donations to support MBC research.

Transforming the traditional charity dinner into a sophisticated, interactive celebration, the event pairs a chic masquerade aesthetic with a powerful mission: shining a light on late-stage disease and funding the bold scientific breakthroughs needed to extend lives. Guests are treated to an unforgettable night featuring dinner, special bourbon tastings, live music from a vibrant band, and interactive fundraising stations. It is a brilliant collision of community, glamour, and advocacy, where every mask worn represents a collective commitment to unmasking a cure and supporting survivors and patients in their most critical hours.
